Describe the architecture of a relational database, including how the data is organized. Explain a relational DBMS. What are some of the limitations of a relati - Essay Example Each column has a column name and contains values that are bound by the same type and size. For example, a column in the table S_DEPT specifies the names of the departments in the organization. A Primary key is a column or a combination of columns that is used to uniquely identify each row in a table. For example, the column containing department numbers in the S_DEPT table is created as a primary key and therefore every department number is different. A primary key must contain a value. It cannot contain a NULL value. A Foreign key is a column or set of columns that refers to a primary key in the same table or another table. You use foreign keys to establish principle connections between, or within, tables. A foreign key must either match a primary key or else be NULL. Rows are connected logically when required. The logical connections are based upon conditions that define a relationship between corresponding values, typically between a primary key and a matching foreign key. This relational method of linking provides great flexibility as it is independent of physical links between records. The entities and the relationships between them are represented as a collection of tables.   The process of deciding what the best collection of tables is for a given application is known as data-base modelling.  Ã‚   For the purpose of this document, let the definition of a good model be defined as one which enables a single change to the part of the real world being modelled to be reflected by a single change to the model. As an illustration of the sort of problem that lends itself to solution using an RDBMS consider a bank that wishes to maintain details of its branches, staff, customers and their accounts, including details of cash investment and withdrawal. Relationships are reflected by one table referencing another through the second table’s primary key.   The referencing table has a field (or fields) which correspond to the primary key field(s)

The desmids help in analysis of water contamination or pollution. Another example is the brown algae. The brown algae contain alginic acid which is a source of lginites. Algae have negative effects as much as they have many uses. A typical scenario is that when a huge increase of algae occurs, a ‘red tide’ occurs. This is characterized by the ocean changing its color to red in certain areas as a result of the pigment coming from the algae. In conclusion, more research should be done to discover more areas through which algae can be utilized as opposed to their negative effects. This can be attributed to the fact that algae will always exist within our society and the more ways of utilizing them in our lives, the better. Time Periods - Essay Example Feinstein celebrated and wondered about life if a â€Å"poet surprise him? Or would he insist on keeping a pattern to link every transfiguration? â€Å" while Dickinson talk of things that could never be. With regard to structure however, Dickinson is more straightforward and easier to understand. She used quatrains or poems of four stanzas compared to Feinstein’s loose structure of her poem which had 3-2-2-4 stanza. Feinstein’s theme may be positive but understanding her is quite a stretch for a modern audience because her metaphors are no longer used today such as â€Å"dressed in antique goggles† when she meant scientist. Scientists today no longer wear goggle. Gender orientation is also obvious in both poems. Dickinson’s â€Å"Success is Counted Sweetest† is very virile in its topic as it spoke of endeavor and a soldier and therefore, male in orientation. Feinstein’s Anniversary however is obviously female trying to convince a male, probably a husband or boyfriend who is a scientist or academician that we are all

These areas may contain objects that puncture the tyre. There may be other serious causes of tyre punctures. There is a valve stem in the tyre, and if there is a failure of or damage to the valve stem, the tyre can release the air and be punctured. Furthermore, there are also issues related to vandalism in which the air is intentionally released from the tyre. Excessive rubbing of the tyre with the road or a collision with any object can also cause the tyre to be punctured. Old tyres or over used tyres can be weak and can allow the rough roads to tear them up. Such tyres should be immediately changed for a better and safe driving (Freitag, 2002, p.8) Global Issues The tyres and their use is a global phenomenon. Not only are there common reasons and consequences related to the tyre punctures, in fact there are also many global issues that are associated with the use of tyres and tyre punctures. Healthy tyres are very important as they tend to allow the motor vehicles to be safe and lower the risk of tyre punctures. In Saudi Arabia we can see many of these global issues that can be related to the tyre punctures. Statistics show that Saudi Arabia was one of those countries where most road accidents and tyre damages have been seen. These are because of many reasons and causes. To start with, global weather is one of the main issues because of which tyres are damaged and punctured. Since tyres are filled with air, it is very important to manage the air in the tyre and the air pressure. If any part of this is affected, it will damage the tyre and more generally cause a tyre puncture. The global weather, specifically the changes in global weathers will deeply affect the tyres. There are summer impacts and winter i mpacts both. Tyres need to be safe and healthy so that there are less chances of risking motor vehicles on the roads. Good tyres will also prevent road accidents. Both the types of weathers can have different effects on the tyre. Thus, drivers should take every measure to prevent the tyres from damaging during the extreme weather. As the summer season starts, there are many warnings given to the drivers to prevent their
